About Crust Pizza

A Crust is born… In 2001 Costa Anastasiadis & Michael Logos identified a hole in the Australian pizza market, the industry was made up either the big chains, which focused on fast delivery with mediocre products and limited choice, and the independent operators who offered high quality products, but with limited, or no delivery service.

Costa & Michael took the best of both worlds and created a niche in the market place, since day one the response was phenomenal, revolutionising the perception of pizza delivery.
Since then our stores have become market leaders in delivery of gourmet pizza within their local areas.

We have created a point of differentiation between ourselves and our competitors. Our focus has always been on delivering across four key areas:

Health:   offering customers a healthier fast food alterntive

Freshness:   using only the freshest ingredients

Quality:   providing a consistently high quality product

Efficiency:   delivering thei products quickly and efficiently.

Our ultimate goal is to lead the gourmet pizza delivery market Australia-wide. This will be achieved by increasing brand awareness, expanding outlet numbers and remaining true to our origins of providing and delivering high quality, healthier pizzas, coupled with an exceptional level of customer service.

We have been working activley last year at increasing our profiling and brand awareness and since February 2008 Crust has achevied many milestones and awards. We were placed 8th in BRW's annual Fast Franchise list based on outlet growth and 14th based on revenue growth.

We were also awarded an Encouragement Award at the National Retailers Rewards for Excellence, a finalist at the Australian Retail Awards and came 16th on the Smartcompany.com.au Smart 50 Companies list.

Also Crust was listed as a finalist in two categories at the BRW Private Business Awards and recently became a finalist in the My Business magazine awards for Best Retailer.

During March 2008, Crust acquired 2 new stores in the Sydney area, formerly known as  Melt Gourmet Pizza Bar. The locations are in Neutral Bay and Lane Cove.

As everyone knows our crowning achievement was becoming the first and only pizza brand to earn the Heart Foundation Tick of Approval during 2008. Crust finally earned the Tick of Approval on 6 new pizzas which were launched on the 12th of February 2008.

In February 2009 Crust launched a fantastic new range of Uppercrust Pizzas, this has been a labour of love for our Creative Chef Peter Augoustis, who has hunted down the most exquisite ingredients to create these six masterpieces of the pizza world.

Radical Sportscars

Why Radical ?

Because Greg Smith's love of bikes moved on to fast cars and his involvement with Radical and regular ciclismo training made it a natural fit !

Radical Australia is based at the home of motorsport in NSW, Eastern Creek International Raceway.

The Radical marque has experienced significant growth in the last year or so, with 10 new SR3s and SR8s delivered to Australian customers. Most owners are taking advantage of the storage service offered as part of Radical Australia's "Arrive and Drive" program, which meant that the previous McGraths Hill premises was now no longer big enough to hold all the cars.

The move to Eastern Creek is a result of the strong relationship between circuit lessee, the Australian Racing Drivers Club, and Radical Australia. It is the first time the ARDC has permitted a race-car team or manufacturer to take up residence at the circuit.

Radical is based in premises adjacent to the eastern end of the paddock. Architectural plans for improvements to the buildings have been approved and renovations will begin in the coming weeks. A new workshop, showroom and office facilities will be included in the works. Radical "Arrive and Drive" customers will be offered exclusive use of air-conditioned change facilities, and will have their own locker to store their race gear.

The benefits extend well beyond their own comfort and convenience. Owners will no longer need to be concerned about transport or logistics for their cars at Eastern Creek events - they simply roll their car 50 meters onto the track. In addition to the 30-plus track days open to Radical owners, there are a multitude of opportunities to get behind the wheel at the end of a non-Radical hire day. Radical owners are welcome to drop in any day to have a coffee with the Radical team and share some camaraderie.

The medium-term outlook for Eastern Creek International Raceway is very positive. The imminent demise of Oran Park as the only other Sydney-based race-track means Eastern Creek will become the centre of all NSW circuit activities. Furthermore, the ARDC has undertaken a feasibility study into the expansion and upgrading to FIA-standard of the entire facility. Improvements planned include an extended three-circuits-in-one track layout as well as significant upgrades to pits and ancillary facilities.

Zoo Bar

Ciclismo members have been enjoying coffee at the Zoobar in Bondi Junction Mall for many, many years now. The Zoo is the unofficial office of ciclismo and we have been known to hold impromptu meetings there, birthday celebrations and make a point of a quick coffee after training on most mornings.

Sarah, the proprietor, has been a firm supporter of ciclismo for many years and we look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.  Make sure you drop in for the best coffee in Bondi Junction and great café food.
